Not that there seem to be many milkmen left these days. My run today was 70 minutes long, the longest so far for a mid-week training run. So in order to fit this run in before work, I got up at a quarter past five in the morning. Whilst I was eating porridge and watching the BBC Business Report (which is on before BBC Breakfast), I did note to myself how bizarre it felt to be up so early. Read the rest of this entry »

Attempting to train whilst ill is like kicking your body whilst it’s down. This was particularly demotivating because there are only 7 weeks until the marathon and only seven weeks of my training schedule left, so I really can’t afford any time off. This has cast my marathon attempt into doubt, as I will have to work twice as hard to get into shape by the time of the marathon. Read the rest of this entry »
